Notes Report



The Notes Report displays the stored Public notes with their descriptions and details recorded in the notes such as steps you've taken on a specific date or date range to improve SEO, events that might affect SEO, or anything you'd like to help jog your memory or highlight your efforts for your team members or clients to see.

Types of Notes:
  • Single Date displays the text of the note, the single date and the name of the user that created the note
  • Date Range displays the text of the note, the date range and the name of the user that created the note
  • Fixed displays the text of the note with no dates.
Notes can be entered one at a time or bulk imported from Campaign > Toolkit > Notes screen. To learn more on how to add a note, read the documentation.

Single Date Note
The report displays the description of the Public notes, the date the note was assigned to (single date), and the name of the user that created the note.

Report Options

 
Select a custom Date Range

Date:

Select:

  • Report Dates from the Report Options calendar tool
Select Rank Tracker Dashboard General Settings

Display:

  • Custom Report Title: (optional) enter a Title to display centered at the top of your report. This title will also display on your white label PDF reports; both in the bookmarked links and at the top of the report.

Display (toggles):

  • Show Colors
  • Show Dates
  • Show Users
  • Show Keywords (if any set)

Campaign:

  • Select Industry - to have all campaign in the assigned industry selected
  • Select Profile - to have all campaigns in the assigned profile selected
  • Checkmark only a specific campaign or "Account-Wide" to display the notes that are set to be account-wide. Click "All" for all campaigns or "None" to unselect all.

Users:

  • Checkmark the specific user whose notes to display. Select "All" for all users or "None" to unselect all.

Save:

  • Click Apply Changes button

Display Notes Report in Marketing Dashboards

There are 3 types of Notes that can be displayed in Marketing Dashboards, Single Date and Date Range display text in a marketing dashboard based on the report date setting. Fixed notes can be used to display a message for a single campaign, specific multiple campaigns or account-wide continuously and the content can be changed as needed (in the Campaigns > Toolkit > Notes screen).

Add Note to Marketing Dashboard
After creating a Note (in the Campaigns > Toolkit > Notes screen), click the Add Report button on the marketing dashboard page that you want notes to display on and scroll down to Other Integrations > Tools and select Notes Report

Display Settings
Select the options that you want displayed:
  • Custom Report Title (optional): enter text that you want displayed at the top of the Notes list
  • Show Colors: if selected, then a color border will display to the left of the note
  • Show Dates: if dates are associated with the note and you want that displayed, then enable this option
  • Show Users: if you want the name of the person who created the note to be displayed, then enable this option

Select the Type of Note(s) you want displayed in the dashboard 
  • Single Date displays text for a single date on a graph hover or in reports that support this feature
  • Date Range displays text across a date range on a graph or in reports that support this feature
  • Fixed can be used to display a message for a single campaign, specific multiple campaigns or account-wide continuously. This note type is not limited to specific date(s), it can be set to display in white label marketing dashboards, client dashboards and PDF reports, and then the content can be changed as needed, in the Campaigns > Toolkit > Notes screen.

Select the Campaign(s) for which Notes were created that you want displayed in this dashboard (e.g., if this is a corporate dashboard that summarizes 10 branches of the company, you might select all of the campaigns that are associated with it).

Users
Select the Users who created Notes that you want displayed in this dashboard

Click the Save button and drag the Notes element to the position you want it displayed in the dashboard.

Display Notes Report in Client Dashboards

There are 3 types of Notes that can be displayed in Client Dashboards: Single Date and Date Range display text in a PDF based on the report date setting. Fixed notes can be used to display a message for a single campaign, specific multiple campaigns or account-wide continuously and the content can be changed as needed (in the Campaigns > Toolkit > Notes screen).

Add Note to Client Dashboard
After creating a Note (in the Campaigns > Toolkit > Notes screen), access Reports & Tools > Custom Suite >  and select Notes Report in the main left menu. 
Expand Report Options and configure the Notes settings. 

For on-screen viewing, you may select a date range (this setting does not apply to the Client Dashboard, which is based on the dashboard date selection).

Click the Apply Changes button


Save Settings as Client Dashboard Default
After saving your settings, hover over the Save icon and click Client Dashboard to save the settings as the Client Dashboard default.

Follow the Client Dashboard Settings instructions to enable the view of Notes in your Client Dashboard.
